Copywriter Web Sites: The Places To Bookmark

What separates good copywriter web sites from the not-so-good? Well, quality, organization, and services, of course. How high-quality is the information, how good are the services and how well is it organized?

While I put as much copywriter information as I can up here on CopywriterInfo.com, there are just some things I can't do or don't have yet. So, I put together this list of websites to answer those copywriter needs.

Writer's Market - The online version of the freelance writer's bible. This is a paid service at $3.99 per month. They also have longer subscription terms for a discount. The online version updates their database on a regular basis, providing access and information about thousands of places to get paid for all different kinds of writing.

Writer's Weekly - Offers tons of free information and a discussion forum about writing in general. They're a fun community and they offer real techniques. Writer's Weekly is associated with Booklocker, which is the cheapest self-publication press I've found so far to date on the Internet, but the forum, newsletter and articles are all free.

Inkwell Editorial - Provides articles about starting up a freelance writing career. The articles could do with some reformatting last I looked, but the techniques are real, down to earth and workable. Enough detail is provided to provide an actual map instead of motivational fluff pieces.

Those are the only three sites I can really recommend at this point. You can also find a ton of free articles out there, but they're hosted on many different sites and you must have the patience to sort through them. Most of the hosting sites also don't organize them well.

If you just don't have the time to squint at your computer monitor that long, hang tight, you'll find all of the good stuff here in relatively short order.
